I can't believe that my little Karley is now 5 years old. It still amazes me how fast time goes by. This year Karley has been into Tangled, so I decided to make her a Barbie Rapunzel cake. I was going to make the cake the day before her party but got busy doing other things and never got around to it. So the day of the family party I woke up and got myself and the kids ready for church then I started making the cake...I know I am a sinner lol! So I figured that this cake was going to be my easiest one that I have ever tried. I didn't realize at the time that the barbie was not going to fit inside the cake. I was expecting the cake to be taller than it was it only came up to her thighs. Since I was in a hurry, I just figured I would take her legs off....well the Barbies today are not made like the ones I use to have were you could pop their legs off and on again, ya thats right barbie has moved up now and has a ball and socket joint...so needless to say I could not get her legs off without ruining her and I didn't want to do that since it would upset Karley; so I decide I would make do. I ended up sticking her in with her legs all the way bent back. The cake started to break in the back so I filled it in with frosting and tried covering her legs with frosting since they were sticking out the back of the dress. I guess I learned my lesson and will make sure I have more time the next time I make one. I guess considering all of the problems I had with it and only having an hour to do it, it really didn't turn out too bad! Oh and Karley loved it so that all that really matters!

I can't believe that Daxton is seven years old. My how the time flies! This year for his Birthday party he wanted to have a Star Wars party. Every year since he was born I have made my kids cakes, but this year I knew it was going to be a challenge finding a cake pan to go with his theme. I started looking for a cake pan about a month before his birthday and wasn't having very good luck, because all of the Star Wars Wilton cake pans have been dis-continued. The only place that I was able to find them was on Ebay, but they are now considered vintage and the cheapest ones I could find was still over $50.00. One of my moms friends used to make all of her kids cakes when they were younger, so we thought we would ask if she had one. We new that the chances of her having a Star Wars cake plan wouldn't be that good since that was so long ago; but to our surprise she had an R2D2 cake pan....which by the way was the cake that Daxton wanted. I was so excited that I was going to be able to make him the cake he really wanted.
This year I made most of the party favors, I never thought that they would love the light sabers that I made as much as they did...they all went nuts over them. It was a really fun party!

Valentines Day Photos

I thought that it would be fun to go and practice taking some photos of my kids for Valetines day. Practicing taking these photos made me realize that I really need to take some more photography classes. I also think that it would help to have someone who knows what they are doing to show me how...any volenteers??? Well anyways, when I first started taking these photos I couldn't figure out what setting would be the best and most of the pictures were turning our either way too dark or way too light. After taking lots of photos with no luck,I started to get really frusterated and just as I was about to give up...BINGO!! I had finlly got the right setting and they started turning out. So there you go people when you get disouraged and frusterated just keep trying until you get it right! Here are some of my favorites.

Last Saturday I took Daxton and Acadia outside to play for a little while. Daxton is such a good older brother! When he wasn't pushing Acadia in the swing he was either carrying her around showing her things or making sure she didn't get hurt. We are really blessed to have him in our lives. Acadia is such a sweet loving spirit as well. I always enjoy watching her facial expressions and how excited she gets when she sees dogs. It never fails every time she sees one, whether it is real or fake she will begin to bark, it is the cutest thing ever!!!

My friend Robin came over today and we made some congo bars and hungout. It was so nice spending time with her! It feels like such a long time since we've spent time together and I am so glad that I got some Robin time in today...I really love that girl!

Going private

My husband has finally won the battle and I am going to be going private with this blog. I don't know why I have been so against going private...OK, I actually do. It is because he has been hounding me and telling me that I should ever since I started it. I am a person who doesn't like to be told what to do, so for that reason alone I have refused. It wasn't until the other day that we had a serious conversation about it that I really felt it was something that I needed to do now. It is better to be safe then sorry when it comes to things that I can control. My family means so much to me and if by going private it lessens the chances of something bad happening, then I am not going to put it off anymore. Fun in the snow!

Yesterday morning it snowed and my kids couldn't wait to go out and play in it. I was pretty impressed with the snowman that Daxton and Collin built all by themselves. Brooklyn and Karley also made a really good snow fort, but unfortunately it got too dark before they finished it so I didn't get a picture of it

A few weekends ago we took the kids tubing with my family. Daxton had no problem going down the hill by himself, but Karley didn't want to go alone. After about a dozen or so times with someone going down with her she finally got brave enough to go by herself. I guess we weren't thinking when we only brought two tubes, because after that we all did a lot of standing around since they both didn't want to share.

I am really excited I got a Nikon D200 professional camera for Christmas. I Since then have playing with it everyday trying to figure out how to use it and all of its functions. I also have been trying to learn the photoshop program that I got last year. I decide today that I would try and take some photos of Karley to practice with. Keep in mind that I am an beginner and barely learning how to do do both. Anyways, here are some photos that I got today.

Alaska

Nick and I went on a cruise to Alaska with Nicks co-worker and his family. We left from Seattle on September 24th and headed towards Juneau, Alaska. On our way to Juneau our ship encounter bad weather and 30 ft swells; so at 2:00 am the ship turned back to sail to Alaska via the inside Passages through Canada. Since we had bad weather the first night and had to turn back we weren't able to go to one of our scheduled ports and all of our port times got shortened a bit. This was a huge bummer...but at least we were still alive. lol

On Monday, September 27th we arrived in Glacier Bay. It was 46F, overcast,and scattered showers. This was one of the coldest days on our trip. Glacier Bay was so beautiful! There were water falls everywhere and the water color was amazing. Our ship got really close to the glazier and we were able to watch big chunks of ice the size of houses or even bigger fall off and crash into the ocean. The sound of it sounded a lot like loud thunder. It was pretty awesome to get as close as we did.

Tuesday, September 28th we arrived in Juneau Alaska. In Juneau we rented a car and drove to Mendenhal glacier. Here we all went on a hike to a beautiful waterfall and to get a closer look at the glacier. After Mendenhal glacier we drove to the chapel by the lake. What a beautiful place to have a church. You could sit in the benches and look out the window at the Mendenhal glacier and the lake.
Our next stop after the chapel was the the shrine chapel. It was very cool and a little creepy too. This shrine was for all of the victims of abortion. I loved the look of the vegetation there. There was moss covering everything and lots of large plants and trees, it felt as if you were in a rain forest. The shrine was almost on a little island, but was attached to land by a little dirt path. Although this place was very beautiful I think it could definitely creep you out given the right circumstances. I would never want to be there at night or alone, what can I say I am a chicken.
On Wednesday September 29 we arrived in Ketchikan, Alaska. In Ketchikan Nick and I walked around and were able to see some fish ladders. We also lucked out and were able to catch the tail end of the salmon run. It was really cool to see all of the fish flopping around trying to make it up stream. After walking around we went on a sea plane tour of the Misty Fjords National Monument. I was super excited about this since I had never been on one before. To add to the excitement I was going to be able to sit right next to the pilot. After take off we started hitting some really crazy fun turbulence or at least I thought so at first. At first I really enjoyed having my stomach drop constantely, but about 10 minutes into I realized that the swaying of the plane and the constant dropping I was starting to get sick. Unfortuntely for me I didn't think of taking Dramamine before going. My nausa kept getting worse, and I started to panic inside when I couldn't see anything to throw up in. I just kept thinking to myself oh man, I am going to throw up all over and this poor pilot is going to be right next to me the whole time. Not to mention that everyone is going to have to smell my throw up the entire flight. Finally I realized that I was going to have to speak up and ask him over my headset if he had anything for me to throw up in. To my relief he and some barf bags. A few minutes later I was pucking my guts up in front of everyone on the plane...so embarrassing. After flying for about 45 minutes we landed in a misty fjords, what a relief to be able to stand on the dock there and get some fresh air. Unfortunately for me after about 10 minutes it was back to the airplane for the flight back and boy was I ever dreading it!!!lol On the way back I threw up again, good thing he had barf bags or that experience could've been so much worse.
After the plane tour we did some shopping in town and then got back on the ship to sail to Victoria Canada. We arrived in Victoria, B.C. on Thursday September 30. It was dark when we arrived so we weren't able to get very many good pictures. We also didn't have very much time to spend there so we just walked in town and went into some shops. The buildings there were so cool. I wish I had good pictures of them to share with you, but I don't.
Friday, October 1st we arrived back in Seattle. We ended up doing some more things in Seattle, but I will post them in a different post.

I will be adding more photos to this post when I get a chance to look at the rest of them.

Bow Tie Pasta Salad

This salad is so good so if you get a catch try it out sometime.

Ingredients:

Broccoli
Olives
Tomatoes
Feta cheese with sun dried tomatoes and basil
Cubed mozzarella cheese
Bernstein's cheese and garlic Italian Dressing
Salame
Mini bow-tie noodles

Instructions:

Cut Broccoli, olives,tomatoes, salame and mozzarella cheese into small pieces. Add those ingredients to cooked mini bow-tie noodles. Add feta cheese and Bernstein's dressing and mix well. Chill and enjoy.

Acadia's 1st Birthday

Acadia turned one last week and we had a little family party for her. She was so cute with her cake. We put it by her and instead of digging in making a huge mess, she used two fingers to pinch off pieces of the Carebears foot.
I am bummed that I didn't get any pictures of her with her cake. When I went to video I had no more tape left on my camcorder, so I had to use my camera to video instead; so when I get some from my family I will post them.

Last night Dax was playing with Acadia and she started exploring his face. She started out playing with his eyes, ears, and nose. After she got bored of the poking and grabbing action she moved on to the attacking action which included her trying to eat his face and trying to pull his ears and nose off...it was so hilarious!! I so loved the noises she was making. It really sounded like she wanted to eat him lol....she was making Dax and I laugh so hard. Dax was such a great sport to let her do that to him. I can't believe what a great big brother he is to her and Karley.

Karley's First Haircut

I took Karley to get her first haircut the other day. I have been wanting to get it cut for some time now, but she had always refused. I guess it is because she wanted long hair like princess Ariel....lol I don't know how I got her to finally agree to it, but I am so glad that she did. Her hair isn't so weighed down now and has a lot more curl....Love it!

Yesterday I was sitting on my bed talking on the phone and I happened to glance into the hallway, to my surprise water was flowing from underneath the bathroom door. Daxton was on the potty and the first thing that came to mind was....oh great he has flooded the toilet! When I finally got him to open the door, I found Karley with a bucket in her hand dumping water on the floor. When I asked why she was doing that she said, "I don't know."...now I am frustrated, because at least if she would've said I was trying to clean then it would've giving me an excuse not to be mad at her. It was almost like she was doing it for attention or something. I also had just finished laundry and of course now I had another load to do. I guess it is true what people say about a mother's work never being done....cause no matter how hard I try it never gets done...lol I swear I just can't keep up with these kids.

We spent Easter Sunday with my family. We had an easter egg hunt for the kids and they loved it. We ended up having to help Karley because Daxton was too fast and good at it. After the egg hunt the kids and I decorated easter eggs.

Ok don't judge this cake.....it did not turn out very good! I usually don't have a problem decorating cakes, but this one was a challenge for me. I could not get her eyes and mouth right to save myself. After re-doing it like three times I gave up. Everyone said that it was good, but I knew they were just being nice. I honestly kept looking at it thinking something was missing, but I just figured it was because her eyes and mouth were so crappy. After thinking or dreaming about it all night long, I woke up and knew what I forgot... her dumb eyelashes! I am sure that would have helped make her look a little better....lol! Well maybe there is a way I can photoshop them on and maybe while I am at it I can fix her eyes and mouth...lol

Karley's 4th Birthday Party

The invitations that not only frustrated the crap out of me , but took way too long to make...lol

I tried to get a picture of all of the girls together, but Karley wasn't cooperating. I thought that if I hurried and put her on the couch, that I might be able to snag one of all of them....but I was too slow. I got one of her getting away and all of her friends are looking away except one....bummer

I can't believe my little girl is now four years old....wow time sure does fly by! This year Karley wanted to have a little mermaid party. The kids ate lunch, made bracelets, played games, and broke a pinata...oh and I can't forget the best part they all got to dress up as their favorite princess's.... so freaking cute!

Chicken Divan

12 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast, thawed and salted, 1/4 cup lemon juice.

Place chicken on a baking dish and sprinkle with salt and lemon juice. Cover with foil and cook in the oven at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.

24 Spears of Broccoli
Steam broccoli until fork tender and set aside. ( I used asparagus, it was also just as good).

Sauce:
2-8 oz Packages Cream Cheese, at room temperature
2 cups milk
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
1 Cup Parmesan Cheese, divided

Using a hand mixer, combine the cream cheese and milk until completely smooth, add salt and garlic salt and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese. Mix well. Cook in a heavy pan or double boiler, stirring until thickened.

Arrange 2 spears of broccoli on each plate. Place a chicken breast on broccoli. Spoon the sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese over sauce. I sprinkled fresh Parmesan over the top, but you can do either. You also can half this recipe.

Makes 12 servings.

I watched some friends kids today and of course when you get three girls together all they want to do is play dress-up. Usually I just sit back and watch, but today I decided to get in there and play with them. It is so funny what kids do and say. They wanted to be beautiful so that they could go downstairs and marry the boys. When they were all down getting dolled up they went to find the boys....bummer for the girls the boys didn't want to have anything to do with them; but that wasn't going to stop the girls from getting married. Karley said, " We will just have to marry girls then!" Gotta love little girls!!!

So the other day Karley colored a picture of her and her friends at her birthday party. She was so proud of her picture that she wanted to hang it on the wall. I didn't realize what she was doing till after the picture was hung and she started talking about glue....that got my attenton really fast. I guess she had tried to find tape, but couldn't find any so she got a glue stick and glued it to the wall. Luckily I was able to get it off before it dried, but I had a very unhappy three year old"

Daxton's 6th Birthday Party

Every year I let my kids pick what their birthday party theme will be. This year Daxton picked transformer. It never fails he always picks a theme that is harder to find party supplies for. I lucked out with the cake pan and pinata, but everything else that we got for it was a joke to find. Luckily, after much searching I found enough stuff to call it a party.
Oh and just a little advice, never count on someone else to take pictures for you. I was so bummed when I looked through all of my pictures from his birthday. Half of them his head was cut off or had some other thing was wrong with them. Luckily my brother took some good pictures with his camera so I will have to get some from him and add them to this post. Thanks to everyone who helped with it, I really appreciate everything.

Valentines Dance

Sweet Acadia

Wow.....I can't believe that Acadia is already 7 months old, it has gone by so fast! It has been so fun being her mom. She is the best little thing ever! I really lucked out to have such a sweet spirited baby. She brings so much joy into my life that I don't know what I do without her. I could be having a horrible day and just her sweet smile will make me happy....it is very contagious! Here are some things that she is doing now.
1. Every morning she wakes us up by singing at the top of her lungs....it is hilarious! She will do this forever in-between breaths then she will gasp for air and go back at it. I still need to get a video of her doing it.
2. She loves loves to eat!! She gets so excited when she sees me getting baby food out. She prefers veggies over fruit. When I am feeding her she growls in excitement in-between eat bite and is kicking her legs like crazy. She also has to stick her hand in her mouth and suck on her fingers after every bite.
3. Is now sitting up on her own, but I still put her boppy pillow behind her just in case she looses her balance.
4. Loves to play with paper and when it starts to fall apart and I have to take it away from her and she will throw a huge fit...it's funny!
5. Has mastered putting her pacifier in and out of her mouth.
6. Will start to fuss if she sees me leave the room.
7. Loves to suck on her feet.
8. She loves baths.
9. When she is tired she will go right to sleep if she has her pacifier and a soft blanket by her face.
10. Loves drinking water from a sippy cup.
11. She still doesn't have any teeth....good thing since I am nursing her.
12. If you make eye contact with her she will smile at you.
13. Loves to play hide and seek and will giggle the whole time.
14. Loves to jump in the jumper.
15. Is very content with sitting and because of this she has only rolled over once from her belly to her back.
16. When she starts to get hungry she will start attacking my face trying to eat me.

So I made some more pottery the other day....for some reason it was a lot harder this time. I want to say it was because the clay was firmer than last time, but maybe it is just because I am retarded...lol! Oh well it was still fun and I am learning so I guess that is all that matters right?

Peanut Butter Bars

ok guys, I made some peanut butter bars today that are to die for! Here is the recipe:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup flour
1 cup oatmeal
cream together butter,sugar,brown sugar, egg, and vanilla. Stir together: baking soda, salt, flour and oatmeal. Add dry mixture to wet mixture. Spread in 9x13 cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 5-10 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 5-10 minutes then spread 1 cup peanut butter on top. Finishing cooling then spread with chocolate frosting.

The other day I let Dax feed Acadia for the first time....not a good idea! All he ended up doing was making a huge mess, and poor Acadia ended up having green beans all over her sweet little face. I kept telling Dax that he need to get the excess off of her mouth with the spoon, and when I watched him for a minute he was trying to scrap it off of her cheek and poked her in the eye. I said to him, "Thank you for your help, but mommy will do it now". I think from now on I'll spare Acadia and just do it myself!:)

Today I learn how to do pottery from Mark, who is one of my neighbors. It is definitely a lot harder then it looks, but regardless of how challenging it was I actually did really well....I am hooked!!! Next Monday I am going to do some more and I can't wait!

Last night Emilee and I took Robin out for her birthday. We went to an Indian restaurant in Bountiful. It was my first time ever having Indian food and I really liked it. After dinner we took Robin to Cold stone for ice cream. We had a lot of fun hanging out and reminiscing about good old times. Robin if you read this thanks for being such an amazing person, friend and listener. I love how I can talk to you and Em about anything. I hope that you and Em had as much fun as I did.

Ice Skating

New Years day we went with Nick’s family ice skating at the Galavin center. The kids really enjoyed it. At first they weren't very good at it, but by the end of the night they were doing so well. Nicks mom and I was going to rotate holding Acadia, but then she fell asleep in my arms and Nicks mom had to leave to take his brother Ryan to get stitches...poor guy! Anyways, so I didn't get to skate much because of that, but as long as the kids had fun than that is really all that matters. Oh and sorry the photos aren't the best, my camera setting were all messed up and I didn't know how to fix it...I guess it's time to read the owners manual.

Yesterday my family and I took the kids tubing. They had a lot of fun! I was surprised at how well Dax did by himself. He had no problem going down the hill alone. Being a mother is hard sometimes; I was so worried about them the whole entire time! Nick on the other hand thinks that I am crazy. He made the comment that I should just put them in bubble wrap because I worry so much. I think I had a good reason to worry, the hill was very steep and had lots of jumps; but it didn’t seem to worry Nick one bit. He had no problem sending Karley down over a jump by herself...I was so mad at him for doing that, and poor little Karley was scared to death afterwards. I guess in the end it is just a mother thing....it's our job to be the ones worrying constantly about our children.

It is official; our kids are now old enough to get excited for Christmas. They woke us up early and couldn't wait to see what Santa had brought them. I was a little worried that they might be disappointed that they didn't get everything that they wanted, because they kept adding on to their list up until Christmas Eve; but was very relieved that they were happy with everything they received. I think my most memorable moment was when Daxton opened his present from Uncle Josh. It was a little red box with a sliding door and when you pull on the door a spider jumps out onto your hand. It scared the living crap out of him. After he got use to it a little bit he kept going around to everyone telling them that there was a particular item that they like and to open it. He kept saying to me, "Mom I have a necklace for you, here open it." Although I new what it was I played along and acted freaked out, he thought it was hilarious. I will have to post some video of him.

One of our friends in our ward named Mark took us sledding with his snow Kabob. What a great way to go sledding, you sit on blanket and have blankets over you while sledding. It was the warmest that I have ever been while sledding and my kids loved it!! Mark also let Dax drive the truck while pulling us around...Scary I know j/k. No, Dax just steered and yes Mark was helping him.

Nick's work Christmas party was at Noah's in South Jordan this year. We had yummy food and played games; it was a lot of fun. At the end of the night they had a raffle drawing and I was on only one who didn't win anything...some luck huh?? At least Nick had better luck than me and came away from the party with a book called "How to be famous". It's is a pretty funny book, so if you get a chance check it out sometime.

While I was making dinner yesterday Daxton and Karley got out all of Karley's dress-up stuff. Every once in awhile I would hear them giggling, so I just assumed they were having fun playing. Moments later I realized that Acadia was still lying on the floor and she was being more quite than normal. This prompted me to go check on her and this is what she looked like...Poor Acadia apparently was their model! What a good sport she was to let them torture her with all of these accessories!! I am glad that I went and check on her when I did, because of the danger of her choking; since she had about ten different necklaces on and a few of them were kind of tight.

Don't let some of the pictures fool you,I think it is safe to say that Acadia doesn't like rice cereal!! When I tried giving her some she spit every bit out and would shake her whole body in disgust, it actually was quite funny to watch. She also kept putting her hands in the way of her mouth and was getting very frustrated that I kept trying to give her more. I thought that maybe she didn't like it because it was was new to her, but since have tried numerous times and I still get the same response. I think I am going to have to skip the cereal stage and go straight to baby food....hopefully she will like that more.

I got free tickets to frightmares at lagoon this year, so we decided to go. The kids loved it up until a bat that we thought was a robot jumped out us and scared the living crap out of them!! After that my kids wanted to go home. Daxton is a major scare junky but that did it for him, he didn't even want to go into the haunted houses anymore.

I always can tell when my kids are up to no good. I decided to check on Daxton and Karley because they were being way too quite, so I went down stairs to find Daxton coloring Karley's face with makers. Apparently, they had a "gooder Idea", as Daxton said, and they decided to color Karley's face like a clown. Anyway I was glad to see that the makers were the washable ones and not my permanent ones, and after scrubbing her face and a couple of days to wear off, I am happy to say she's looks like my Karley again.

I got the crap scared out of me the other day. I went to plug my curling iron in and it made a Loud popping sound and the cord basically blew up in my hand. I got a really deep burn between my pointer finger and middle finger from the copper wire that melted instantly. You can't see it from the picture because of the black smoke that I have tried to wash of a dozen times. My outlets in my bathroom don't work now... want a pain in the butt!!!

I think that most parents dread the day when their kids start kindergarten, but because of his excitement it has been really easy for me. I worried a little bit about getting him up in the mornings since he's not much of a morning person ,but he has been so excited to go that he gets right up. I am amazed at how much he has learned in the few weeks that he has been going. I hope that he will continue to be excited about learning in the future.

I took the kids to get their pictures taken when the baby was 4 weeks old and I just got them back last night. These are a few of them that I liked, and considering how terrible Dax and Karley were acting they turned out ok. I was so frustrated with them, it was like pulling teeth to get them to smile. We literally had to drag Daxton into my friend Jamie's studio; meanwhile Karley started crying, she wanted to go play instead. It was definitely a chore to get a good picture of all three of them. I guess I should take my kids to get their pictures taken more so they can get use to doing it or something.

After having her here for 8 days we finally named her. It was my turn to name this kid, but every name that I liked my husband didn't. I wanted her to have a unique, but cute name that not every kid in school would have. After having her for 7 days I still didn't have a name for her. The lady at Mckay called the night before wondering if we had named her yet, and told us that we had to have a name by the next day or her birth certificate would be sent to the social security office with the name baby Bloxham on it. I didn't want this to happen,what a pain that would be! I sat down with Nick and told him to give me a few of his favorite names. After hearing his names I told him a few of my favorites and we still couldn't decide on one. At this point I started to get frustrated, so I decided to see what my kids thought. I had them come over and I asked them out of all the names which one like best. When I got to the name Acadia they both yelled Acadia!!! They both had a nickname for her instantly, Daxton's was Kado and Karley's was Kada. I thought that it was cute and since I wanted them to feel involved I went ahead and named her that. I am a little bummed, a few days ago my little brother came up to me and said, "remember when I told you to name her after a car, well you did good, GM just came out with a car called the Acadia". Honestly what is the odds of that happening??? I am sure now that it will start to become popular!!

Getting ready for the C-section

We still haven't named our baby, but we are working on it so hopefully we will know shortly. The C-section went well, quite a different experience. I am sore, but I am doing pretty good. I only had to stay two days in the hospital so that was nice. The baby is also doing really well, she is such a good baby and I couldn't have asked for anything more. She does have a little problem with her hip from being breached, so I have to take her to a specialist at Primary Children's, but they say that is quite normal and it will usually correct itself. I will keep you all up to date with everything, I will also post some more pictures soon.

Well everyone I decided not to try and turn the baby. I had a blessing last week and I had a strong feeling not to. I also talked it over with my doctor and had asked him what he would do if it was his wife. He said that he would do a c-section because there is usually a reason why they are that way. I went in to the doctor today and the baby is sideways face out and still breached. So I will be going into the hospital tomorrow and will be having a c-section at 1:30 pm. I am a little nervous beings I have never had surgery before, but I am confident that I am making the right decision for my baby. I will try to keep you all up to date on everything. Thanks for all of your support.

Baby update

I went to the doctor last night, and for those of you who don't know my baby has been breached. I am only two weeks away from her due date, so I have been praying that she has turned. Anyways, when my doctor walked in he asked me if I had thought she had turned and I said, "that I honestly didn't know." After feeling my belly he was almost sure that she hadn't, to confirm this he did and ultrasound and sure enough he was right. He told me that he would give her one more week to turn and if she hasn't by my next appointment he would schedule a procedure at the hospital where he will try and get the baby to turn. I am really nervous about this, because it is extremely painful and if at anytime the baby's heart rate drops to low or if it is causing me too much pain he will have to stop so that it doesn't rupture my uterus or hurt the baby. My only option then is to have a c-section which would totally suck, because I had such easy deliveries with my last two. At this point I think my best chance of her turning is by prayer, so please keep me and my baby in your thoughts and prayers.

Well I went to the Doctor yesterday and he is 100% positive that our baby is a girl. We are really excited, especially me! As a little girl I always wanted a little sister and never got one; so
I am so stoked that Karley will have one. Daxton is also excited he really wanted me to have another girl. Now comes the fun part of trying to figure out a name for her. Lucky for me I get to actually name this one.

We decided to take the kids on the Polar Express this year. They were really excited and couldn't wait to get on it. We decided to take my cousin little boy with us and he loved ever minute of it. After everyone boarded the train we were served hot cocoa and Mrs. Clause magical chocolate chip cookie. After enjoying our yummy treat we read the book the Polar Express. Our narriator then lead everyone in singing christmas songs. She was quite the entertainer!!! I honestly think I could have done a better job. She was really loud in the microphone and couldn't carry a tune for the life of her. Nick and I couldn't help but to laugh.

This year for Thanksgiving I decided that I wanted to do it at my house. My mom came over around 6:30 am and we baked all day. I wish I had taken a picture of all the food that we ended up with, it was insane!!! I have never seen so many pies in my life! While my mom and I were getting everything ready, my family played a little rock Band! It was so fun watching and listening to them. After dinner we all got together and played some Catch phrase, it was really fun and we all enjoyed it.

So Nick bought these shoes a while back really cheap at Walmart and I hate them. They remind me of the shoes I'd put on the old folks at the resthome when I worked as a CNA. He says that I am just jealous of them and that I wished I had a pair like them. Lucky he really only wears them around the house and yard when he is working. I think that sometimes he wears them to bug me!!! I have been tempted to haul them off to the D.I, but figured it is not worth him being mad at me; plus it gives me a chance to laugh at him! *LOL* I so wish that I had a picture of him in them.

The last few weeks Dax has been determined to decorate for Christmas. A week or so ago I went into his room and he was putting blocks and wrapping paper all over his dresser, when I asked him what he was doing he said, "I am decorating my room for Christmas!" It was so fun to see the excitment in his face. So anyways, ever since lights have been going up on houses he has been bugging me to put a tree up in his room, so the other day Nicks mom went and got him and Karley a tree and decoration to put on them. They both had so much fun decorating them. Oh and how can I forget the train. I got rid of our old train last year, and he was so determined to get another one. After lots of persistent nagging grandma Karen caved and we found one online for him.

I thought I'd let all of you know that Nick and I are expecting are 3rd baby. I went to the doctor November 19th and everything looks great!!! It was so good to hear the heart beating and to see the baby moving. I am almost 11 weeks along and the baby is due June 21, 2009; which is exciting because it is my older brothers birthday!! I have a feeling that it is a boy and can't wait to find out in four weeks!

1. I have a fear of getting lost. If I have never been someplace then I want someone who has to come with me or someone else to drive.

Nicks work had a formal dinner party September 26th at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake city. We had a lot of fun gambling for charity. His work gave each couple 400.oo dollars in tokens and at the end of night for evey hundred dollars that you had you would recieve a raffle ticket to put in a drawing for awesome prices. Nick lost his half of the money and I won about a hundred dollars. We didn't win anything at the end of the night, but it was still way fun. Not to mention the dinner was fabulous! It was also fun to dress up all fancy since I haven't since Nick took me to Weber States Homecoming before we were married. I am a little bummed that our pictures didn't turn out the best, but I thought I'd post them anways.

Stuck in quicksand!

The first week in September some of my family and I went on a backpacking trip in one of southern Utah slot canyons. It was a 50 mile trip and we did it in three days. I had know idea what I was getting myself into. It wouldn't have been so bad but the terrain was aweful. We were climbing over huge boulders, through quicksand and swimming in ice cold water pools above our waist. The first day we hiked for about 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. I have never been so physically challenged in me entire life; not to mention my shoes weighed me down like no other, They were so full of water and sand it was unbelievable. In fact I kept complaining about them nobody really believe me when I told them how heavy they were; but at the end of the night when I took them off everyone was feeling pretty sorry for me. Well we all end up with some physical challenges during the trip, both my brother Josh and I twisted our knees in quicksand so we were limping around the last 30 miles or so. Nick and Jesse had ankle problems and another problem I won't mention. My moms toenails were killing her, mine towards the end started hurting me and when I took my shoes off two of my toenails were lifted up and all bloody underneath; I am surprised to say I only lost a little over half of both toenails. I had the wrong idea thinking I was going to be on vacation on this trip.
